Homework Assigned in Class August 21, 2012
Students have been given 4 assignments in the form of handouts for this week. Teacher expects all students to have work completed when they come in for class on August 28, 2012. I am giving links to the handouts just in case your child loses what they were given in class.
Assignment 1: Complete the Story Elements Organizer Worksheet (page 3 of the following attachment):

Assignment 2: Complete the Food Pyramid Worksheet by coloring each section the correct color, labeling what each section is, and drawing at least one food that goes in that section.

Assignment 3: Complete the Water Cycle Cloze Worksheet
Assignment 4: Students will read the handout on The American Experience: Surviving the Dust Bowl and will then compose a letter on the page given to them to a person of their choice acting as a person who has survived the Dust Bowl. The student will write in the letter of things s/he has learned about the Dust Bowl.
